You are going to need this code later in the installation, so you should either copy it or leave your account page open until you’re finished with the install.
2.) You will see a link that says Download Declude New Install For This Server . Click on that link and download the file to the desktop of your mail server.
3.) Once finished downloading, double click the file to start the installation. Declude will automatically install in the directory where your IMail spool is located. You will not have the option to install it in a different directory because the spool directory is where it needs to be, located.
4.) Once the install has completed, you will see some new directories and files that have been created.
A Declude directory inside of your [MAILSERVER] directory. There should be a variety of files and folders inside of the Declude directory. You can read about these files later in this manual.
You should see a “proc” directory inside of your \spool directory and you should see “review”, “error” and “work” directories inside of the \proc directory.
5.) You should also see a declude.exe and decludeproc.exe file in your [MAILSERVER] directory.
6.) Once you verify that you have all of these files and directories, navigate to your Declude directory and open the declude.cfg file using notepad or a text editor of your choice. Here is where you need the license code. You should see some text at the top of the declude.cfg file that says
“CODE [PLACE YOUR DECLUDE CODE HERE]”. Remove that line completely and replace it with the following:
CODE XXXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX
Be sure to change the X’s to your own code. Save and close the declude.cfg file.

If you see an error, go to the “Troubleshooting” section of this manual for help.
10.) The last step you need to take is to ensure that declude.exe is set as your Delivery Application in the SMTP area of your IMail services. Go to the Advanced tab in the SMTP settings in IMail Administrator, and change the "Delivery Application" option so that the part reading "smtp32.exe" is changed to "declude.exe" (for example, if it reads "C:\IMail \smtp32.exe", change it to "C:\IMail \declude.exe"). If you are running IMail 2006 or above, log into your admin interface then go to your SMTP service and check.
Note : If you are using an older version of IMail without that option, you will need to use regedit to change the:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Ipswitch\IMail\Global\SendName key so that the part reading "smtp32.exe" is changed to "declude.exe"
11.) Restart your SMTP service.
12.) You are now finished with the Declude installation. If you want to test to see if Declude is scanning for spam and viruses, etc… go to the “Testing Declude” section of this manual or visit http://tools.declude.com
Upgrade of Declude for IMail Upgrading From Declude Versions 1.x and 2.x to version 4.x If you are currently running Declude version 1.x or 2.x, you must do a New Install of Declude 4.x instead of the upgrade
Upgrade of Declude for IMail
If you are currently running Declude version 3.x or 4.x, you must do an Upgrade to the most current version of Declude.
Follow these simple steps:
1.) Back-up your entire, current Declude directory. The upgrade shouldn’t over-write your current files and configuration, but for safety, make a back-up.
2.) Log into your account page from our website http://www.declude.com . Scroll down to the bottom left hand side of the screen. 4.) Once finished downloading, double click the file to start the upgrade. Declude will automatically install in the directory where your IMail spool is located. You will not have the option to install it in a different directory because the spool directory is where it needs to be Located.
5.) After the upgrade finishes installing, check your Declude directory to see if your current files and configuration were over-written by the upgrade. They probably were not, but if they were, take your back-up copy of the Declude directory that you made and replace the newly created files with your back-up files.
6.) Once you verify that you have all of these files and directories, navigate to your Declude directory and open the declude.cfg file using notepad or a text editor of your choice. Here is where you need the license code. You should see some text at the top of the declude.cfg file that says
