Here are some tools you may find useful. Just be aware that the web-based tools are written in a web scripting language, so they are not as fast or robust as our C/C++ software. For more information on our Declude anti-spam and anti-virus programs for mail servers, go to http://www.declude.com Most of these tools are free, although some of the third party tools do require payment.
Online Tools
BADHEADER Lookup - Will explain why an E-mail failed the Declude JunkMail BADHEADERS or SPAMHEADERS tests.
DNS Report - Runs a report on your DNS setup, looking for problems such as incorrect MX records.
DNS Stuff - Spam Database Lookup, Reverse DNS Test, WHOIS, DNS Lookups, and more.
Test Spam Sender - Lets you send pretend spam designed to fail several different spam tests.
Test Virus Sender - Lets you send the eicar.com test virus in many different ways, to fully test your mail server anti-virus software. Get the peace of mind that your AV software properly handles different types of encoding, .ZIP files, and embeded MIME segments.
Offline Tools:
BounceFinder - This free program will display information about bounces and E-mails that are blocked (such as the reason for "Unknown user" bounces from IMail).
Declude Confirm - Automatically handles confirmations for IMail mailing lists. Now, people can't subscribe their enemies to your mailing lists; helps you get off RBL.
Domain Lister (domlist.exe) - A program that you can run on your mail server that goes through a log file to determine how many E-mails were sent/received per domain, as well as the total number of bytes sent/received per day per domain. This is a command line program, so to use it, just go to a command prompt and type "domlist -help" for instructions.
SpoolViewer - This free program will display information about your spool, such as the number of E-mails currently being received, the number being delivered, and the number awaiting delivery. This is a command line program, so to use it, just go to a command prompt and type "SpoolViewer".
Third party tools for all Declude users:
QueueMon - Provides alerting and monitoring of your IMail/Declude Overflow directory based on queue size and/or queue growth.
Third party tools for Declude Virus users:
Invaluement DNSBL - DNS blacklist for spam filters which includes a Sender's IP blacklist and a URI blacklist (similar to surbl). These invaluement lists block much spam that other DNSBLs miss, with extremely low FPs.
McAfee updater - A batch file that automatically updates McAfee daily DAT file (careful!). Or, there is a simple version that a customer of ours submitted.
dvMRTG - Graph Declude Virus statistics with MRTG using our free utility.
DLAnalyzer - Provides Comprehensive reporting on Declude Virus and Junkmail
Log Files.
fpReview - Easily review held mail on your Imail or SmarterMail system and return them back to the queue for delivery or rescanning by
Declude. Many advanced features such as editing messages, resolving ipaddresses, looking up domain names and IP addresses against Senderbase, and creating custom Declude filters on the fly. Plus much more.
Third party tools for Declude JunkMail users:
AutoWhite - An external test for Declude JunkMail that will automatically whitelist E-mail that is sent from addresses that you commonly send mail to.
Declude Filters - Offers a number of filter files that can be used with Declude JunkMail Pro, such as one that detects 'gibberish' -- the strings of random characters that spammers often include in their spam.
Declude Kill File Utility - Checks up to 500 addresses in a sender blacklist for duplicates and questionable addresses, and sorts the file.
Declude Importer - A ColdFusion application that imports IMail URL blacklists into Declude JunkMail filter files.
DecSysLog - Saves the Declude JunkMail log file to a SysLog server. Information can be found here.
DLAnalyzer - Provides Comprehensive reporting and Test Summaries on Declude Junkmail Log files. dMRTG - Graph Declude Junkmail statistics with MRTG using our free utility.
FOOTER32 - Declude Junkmail add-in that can add footers
to both text/plain and text/html MIME parts. Development was triggered
by an IMail user's request to add legal disclaimers to all outgoing
messages, but the
tool can certainly be used to add footers for other purposes. Fromfile manager -
You can use this to manage the Declude "fromfile" Sender Blacklists.
Held file deleter - A VBS program to delete held files by date, and there is also another one here. invURIBL -
An external application that extracts URI's (domain names in
links) from emails and checks them against URI based blacklists. Our application
extends basic URI checking functionality by incorporating features that will
allow you to check the URI's IP address and name servers against DNS based
blacklists. In addition, we have added a unique feature that allows you to
check the URI's IP address and remote mail server against Senderbase, the world's
leading email traffic monitoring network.
imagefxonline.net's
Kill List -
A list of E-mail addresses and domains that send spam, which can
be used with Declude JunkMail as a "sender blacklist" (daily updates,
from 8AM to 4PM EST, are here).
Message Sniffer - A program
that will scan the content of E-mail to detect spam. Integrates with
Declude JunkMail, and will help detect spam that might otherwise bypass
other spam filters that only check the IP or E-mail headers. Constantly
updated.
Netcomm LogTool -
A log analyzer for Declude JunkMail that was designed from the ground
up to allow the user to quickly and easily drill-down into JunkMail's
logs to assist in the fine-tuning of the filters. Note: No longer
supported.
PackIP -
PackIP 1.0 removes redundant entries from a CIDR-style IP list. It
is suitable for use with Declude JunkMail and other programs that use
the same list format. Source code for PB/CC 3 is included. Freeware from
PowerBASIC, Inc.
SPAMC32 -
A program that lets you add Spamassassin as an external test to Declude
JunkMail.
Spamcheck - An external
test for Declude JunkMail that checks for a number of different signs
of spam in the content of E-mail.
Spam Eliminator v 1.1 - It helps eliminate the "trapped" spam e-mails that are in the spam folder. Its use is for bringing down the number of spam files to look through, in order to check for legit e-mail that have been caught by the spam filter by mistake. NOTE: You need to have Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Redistributable installed on your machine in order to use it.
SpamSort - Sorts lists of partial and full E-mail addresses (like the Declude JunkMail "sender blacklist" file), and removes duplicates.
SpamReview -
Imail Only - A application that allows review of the HOLD folder. No documentation
available.
